Leading mobile money service provider Airtel Money announced a new partnership with Farmers World on Tuesday, enabling Airtel Money customers to pay for goods at Farmers World stores nationwide using the mobile money service.
The partnership offers a seamless digital payment solution that is convenient and free of charge. Airtel Money users can access this service at all 90 Farmers World outlets across Malawi.
According to Airtel Money Managing Director Thokozani Kamkondo Sande, the goal is to improve customer experience by reducing cash-handling risks and providing a faster, safer payment option.
“Customers can now shop without worrying about carrying physical cash, while Farmers World benefits from fewer cash management issues. This partnership demonstrates our dedication to promoting financial inclusion and convenience for Malawians. By digitizing payments at Farmers World, we are making everyday transactions easier, safer, and quicker”, said Sande.
Farmers World Retail Executive Manager Philip Bence expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Airtel Money to improve the in-store customer experience by providing a seamless, modern payment option.
“This initiative makes transactions faster and more convenient for our customers while ensuring a secure and efficient payment process within our shops. We are proud to collaborate with Airtel Money, which already has a large customer base, making implementation straightforward,” Bence noted.
