The forum will bring together former heads of state and government, representatives of international institutions, policymakers, civil society leaders, and financial experts.

As a high-level, action-oriented initiative, the meeting seeks to advocate for urgent reforms in global financial governance to promote a more inclusive, transparent, and accountable international financial system.

Sustainable finance remains a key pillar of global development. However, the international community continues to face major challenges in mobilising adequate resources to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

To address these challenges, the gathering will generate concrete recommendations on:
• Taxation
• Debt relief
• Systemic reforms
These recommendations will be strategically disseminated and advocated at key global decision-making platforms throughout 2025.

The Former Malawi leader will present a keynote address. She has also been requested to speak on sovereign debt sustainability.
