The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has confirmed that its Elective Convention will take place from August 8th to August 10th, 2024.
Kezzie Msukwa, Chairman of the Convention Steering Committee, made the announcement at a briefing held on Saturday at the MCP headquarters in Lilongwe.
The convention will be held at the Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe, and all positions within the party are open for candidacy.
Msukwa stated, “All is set to host the Elective Convention, and the dates remain August 8th to 10th, 2024.”
Msukwa also mentioned that eligible members who qualify for the Party’s highest policy-making organ, NEC, can begin collecting nomination forms from their Regional Chairpersons starting on Monday, July 1st, 2024.
The completed forms should be submitted to the Secretariat by July 15th, 2024.
