Old Mutual Malawi launches first Financial Education Podcast

In a bid to empower people with personal finance management tools and promote financial literacy in the country, Old Mutual (Malawi) Limited has launched a financial education podcast dubbed “On The Money”.

“On The Money”  is a podcast which is the first of its kind and is currently available on the company’s website, features Old Mutual’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Edith Jiya, in the first episode and Old Mutual’s Financial Education expert Benard Chiluzi in the rest of the episodes as a permanent guest.

Speaking in an interview, Old Mutual Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager Patience Chatsika said that being a leading financial service provider, people expect the business to provide financial solutions relevant to their needs, and therefore, the provision of financial education through the podcast is one way in which Old Mutual unpacks personal financial management concepts that will allow listeners to understand their financial needs and how products available on the market can propel them in their life time journey.

“You may be interested to know that we offer our financial education free of charge as it is our desire ensure that our customers are thriving” she said.

According to Chatsika, through the podcast people should expect valuable insights on personal money management, including budgeting, taking charge of debts, investing, and saving.

Apart from the Old Mutual website (https://df7r0amtm187k.cloudfront.net/personal/financial-education/), the Podcast will also be available on other platforms such as Spotify, Deezer, Google podcast, and Podcast index.
