Zomba City Mayor donates at Matawale Heath Center

Zomba City Mayor Davie Maunde has donated assorted items to new mothers at Matawale Health Center in Zomba on January1, 2023 as part of New Year celebration.

The items include Sugar, Soup and some groceries which are going to be helpful to the new mothers.

Speaking during the donation, Maunde said as the people are celebrating the new year at home those at hospitals should as well celebrate the new year.

‘’I thought it wise to celebrate with these new mothers, as we all are celebrating the new year they should also be happy too ‘’ said Maunde.

He also pleaded with all pregnant women to always deriver at hospitals so that they can be safe together with the baby.

One of the beneficiaries Alinafe Kapalamula thanked the mayor for the donation.

‘’I am very happy today we didn’t expect to receive any donation today but the mayor thot it wise to donate to us ‘’said kapalamula.

Matawale hospital head of clinic services Lovemore Mpaso hailed the mayor for what he has done and ask other stake holders to do the same as it brings joy to the patients.

He also said the hospital has shortage of office blokes and if there are well-wisher should help them so that they can be operating well.

Matawale health center service population of about 64,000 people in zomba.
