Kaungu football loving fans will this Sunday trek to Mtunthama Community Ground where Malawis Football legends will take them down memory lane as they will square up against Namatchenmi FC in a friendly match organized by First Deputy Speaker of parliament Madalitso Kazombo.
The legends are sponsored by JK Productions(owned by renowned Football administrator and Banker Jim Kalua) while Namatcheni FC are sponsored by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso KLazombo who is also is Legislator for Kasungu East,
In an interview, JK Productions Founder and Director Jim Kalua said the game is a manifestation of the Legends’ aim of inspiring grassroot football structures.
“The football match has been organised for the people of Kasungu East by Hon Kazombo. He is a long time friend and has been supportive on most of these initiatives. He has got the energy and passion towards the game.
“Apart from entertaining the constituents, we will also inspire the up-and-coming footballers who, some of them will meet face to face and interact with some of the games legends,” he said.
Among other legends, Kalua said there will be the likes of Kinnah Phiri, Young Chimodzi, Mavuto Tigana Lungu, Fischer Kondowe, Joseph Kamwendo, Chauncy Gondwe, Francis Songo and Peterkings Kayira.
