The Garden Lounge management says they are ready to officially grand open the venue on July 26, 2025, as part of enhancing creativity, tourism, and cultural expression in Malawi.

The event will be graced by popular musicians such as Lulu, Kell Kay, Black Missionaries, Anthony Makondesa, Namadingo, and Fada Moti, among other high-profile performers.

In an interview with Malawi News Agency, Garden Lounge Marketing Manager, Patricia Ndlovi, said the idea behind the lounge was to create a refined and serene environment for leisure and connection.

“Our vision is to position Garden Lounge as a premier destination for cultural gatherings and social events, offering guests an experience that is elegant, welcoming, and memorable,” she said.

Ndlovi further said that the launch will set a new standard in entertainment by combining ambiance, live music, and high-quality service in a garden-inspired setting.

“We are committed to delivering curated experiences that reflect creativity, professionalism, and cultural pride. Every visit to Garden Lounge will feel personal and inspiring,” said Ndlovi.

According to Ndlovi, the grand opening is just the beginning, as the lounge plans to roll out monthly events, support local artists, and offer private functions and outdoor catering services.

One of the musicians who is set to perform on the day, Fada Moti, has confirmed his participation in the glamorous occasion, saying fans should expect the best performance of his career.

“It’s not just another show, it’s a moment. Garden Lounge is special, and I’m coming with everything I’ve got. My fans deserve the very best,” said Fada Moti.

A music fan from Area 11, Radson Mshaga, said he is excited about the launch, noting that the lounge brings something fresh and exciting to Lilongwe’s entertainment scene.

Apart from entertainment, the opening of Garden Lounge is expected to boost local revenue for the council and create employment opportunities for youth, thereby easing some pressure off the government.
