NBS Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to partnerships that drive national growth, saying its role goes beyond banking to supporting institutions that shape Malawi’s future.
Speaking in Blantyre during the handover of K20 million to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi, NBS Bank Chief Executive Officer Temwani Simwaka said the support is part of building relationships rooted in purpose, not just transactions.
“We care about the aspirations of the people and institutions we serve. This conference is one such platform where those aspirations can be turned into action,” Simwaka said.
The funds will support the 2026 ICAM Annual Lakeshore Conference set for 17–19 September 2025 in Mangochi under the theme of From Silos to Synergies.
In his Remarks, ICAM Chief Executive Officer Noel Zigowa said the conference theme reflects the urgency of working together to achieve Malawi 2063.
No single institution can deliver the country’s development goals alone, Zigowa noted. He stressed that sustainable transformation demands strategic alliances across government, business, academia, civil society and the public.
The ICAM Lakeshore Conference brings together finance and business leaders to discuss solutions for economic growth and governance.
