A 24-year-old carpenter from Thyolo has won the K50 million grand prize in the Airtel Money Tola Promotion.

This development brings to a close a 12-week campaign that has rewarded customers across Malawi with life-changing cash prizes.

Moses Madalitso, who is also an adult learner in Standard 8 at Nsabwe Primary School in Thyolo, emerged as the grand prize winner in the promotion, which ran from May 5 to August 5, 2026.

Madalitso, the sixth-born in a family of seven, said he plans to invest the K50 million in various businesses, which he hopes will improve his livelihood and secure a better future.

The grand prize draw was held alongside the 12th and final weekly draw, which produced three additional K5 million winners. The latest weekly winners are Wilfred Mwangala, a farmer from Zomba; Cecelia Zimba; and Simieon Msokera, a commercial farmer from Salima District.

Mwangala expressed excitement upon receiving news of his win, describing it as a miracle. He said he intends to invest the K5 million in several businesses.

Msokera, who is engaged in commercial farming in Salima, was also among the three customers who received K5 million in the final weekly draw, while Zimba emerged as the third winner.

Commenting on the conclusion of the promotion, Airtel Malawi Managing Director said the campaign was about more than simply spending money on prizes, describing it as an investment in helping customers achieve their dreams.

“It’s not just an expense to us; it’s pushing our customers toward their dreams. The promotion has made many dreams come true for people from all walks of life. This promotion has been life-changing,” said the Managing Director.

The Managing Director added that Airtel Malawi remains committed to improving the lives of its customers beyond the conclusion of the promotion.

“However, we commit that we will continue making the lives of our customers better,” he said.

The Airtel Money Tola Promotion, which ran for 12 weeks from May 5 to August 5, 2026, rewarded customers across the country through weekly K5 million prizes and consolation prizes, before culminating in the K50 million grand prize won by Madalitso.
